Shoe fitting Guide

When choosing the size of your new shoes there are a few things to think about to help you make the right choice. It is not possible to exactly predict that a pair of shoes will fit they way you like. However with a few simple checks before ordering it is possible to receive your perfect fit.

1. Shoe Size – It is always a good idea to check the size of your old shoes. Shoe sizes are usually marked inside or on the sole of the shoe. Shoe sizes should be looked upon as a guide, as sizes can vary very slightly with style brand and even down to the cut of leather used.

2. Shoe Width – The shoe width or fitting is usually also given inside the shoe, particularly important for example if you require a slightly wider men’s shoe you look at G fitting shoes. (see our size chart)

3. Boot Fittings – Most of the boots on our site particularly dealer boots and the Sowerby boots are of a wider fitting. In addition it is worth noting desert boots are a proper ‘boot fit’ in other words they are a generous fitting, we have found this to be most relevant to the smaller ladies sizes.
